Water bills
Water
Are you settling a water utility — including markets like Niger? Settle the water utility bill on your account.

How to access
Home → country → Water → provider → account → lookup → Pay.
Recipient Utility account
How to check Receipt confirms the account name that was paid.
The app is the till — this page never takes payment. Store credit alone is sold on this site, by bank transfer on one page.
What it is
Water on Kpali is a utility bill settled against a utility account — the same shape as the other account-based bills, in a category most international payment tools simply do not carry.
You choose the provider, enter the account, confirm the name that comes back, and pay.
It is unglamorous and it is exactly the sort of bill that is hardest to pay from another country, which is why it is here.
Who it is for
People settling a utility for a household they support from abroad.
Anyone in a market where the water utility has no international payment path of its own.
Property owners paying on a place they are not living in.
Anyone maintaining a property they visit rather than live in, where the utility has no international payment route of its own.
Why this is hard from another country
Water is the category international payment tools skip, because the utilities are fragmented, local, and rarely worth a global processor's integration effort.
That is exactly why it belongs here. A household supported from abroad has a water bill like any other, and until now the only way to settle it was to send money and hope somebody carried it to an office.
There is also the matter of scale. Water bills are typically small enough that a wire transfer's fee is a meaningful fraction of the bill itself, which is precisely why formal international routes never bothered to serve them, and why they were left to informal ones.
Finally, water is the category that most clearly shows what the catalogue is for. It cannot be reached everywhere, and where it cannot, the app says so with a reason rather than pretending the country is unsupported. A utility that has no digital route is a fact about that utility, and it is better stated than hidden.
How to access it in the app
Home → country → Water → provider → account → lookup → Pay.
The recipient for this product is utility account. The utility account is looked up and the account name confirmed before payment.
Water is a category that reaches markets other international tools skip, including Niger.
How to buy it
The money path is the same shape for every product, but the detail below is this one's.
- Install Kpali and create an account. No bank account and no BVN are required to begin.
- Fund store credit with stablecoin. Choose USDT or USDC and the network. The warning about the network sits above the address because the wrong chain cannot be undone. The minimum is stated before the address appears. Put your own email in to be notified, or somebody else's to credit them instead.
- Wait for Home to show the credit. An address is not money; store credit is.
- Open Water. Home → country → Water → provider → account → lookup → Pay.
- Confirm the name that comes back. The utility account is looked up and the account name confirmed before payment.
- Read the review sheet. It states what leaves your wallet, including the fee, before anything is charged.
- Pay. If store credit cannot cover the amount plus the fee, Pay does not proceed and no provider is called.
- Keep the receipt. A settled utility account, with the name confirmed on the receipt.
A transfer from any Nigerian bank buys store credit on the website's one paying page, into a one-time account number good for 30 minutes.
What decides availability
Water utilities appear where the catalogue can reach them — including markets such as Niger, which most alternatives do not carry at all.
Coverage is a fact you are given before paying. Where it runs out, the app says where and why.
What you pay
The amount plus the stated fee leaves store credit, with the total on the review sheet before you pay.
Prices are stated once and honoured. Where the balance falls short, Pay simply does not proceed.
What the receipt carries
The receipt confirms the account name that was paid — the one thing people come back to check.
Where the answer is no, the debit reverses and the wording is unambiguous. Where there is no answer yet, the receipt holds and you should too. For water, an order still being checked means the provider has not confirmed the a settled utility account, with the name confirmed on the receipt yet — waiting costs nothing, paying again can cost twice.
How to check it worked
Receipt confirms the account name that was paid.
The balance, the list and the record — three views of the same events, kept consistent deliberately.
Mistakes people make
- Using a property reference instead of the billing account.
- Paying against a name that does not match the household.
- Assuming a utility posts payments instantly; posting is the utility's own cycle.
- Retrying an unsettled order.
- Expecting to pay on this website rather than in the app.
Questions
Which countries have water bills?
Wherever the catalogue carries a water utility — markets such as Niger are exactly the sort of case this category exists for.
How do I find my account number?
On the utility's own bill. The lookup confirms it by returning the name.
What if no name comes back?
Then the number is not one the utility recognises. Do not pay it.
Is there a fee?
The app states what leaves your wallet before you pay. Nothing is added afterwards.
Can somebody else pay for me?
Yes — have them put your email on their deposit screen, and the store credit becomes yours to spend.
Is a bank account required?
No.
Why is water rarer than electricity?
Water utilities are more fragmented and less digitised. Where one can be reached, it is listed.
Can I pay a water bill for a property I rent out?
If you hold the billing account number and the returned name is right, yes.
The same money, spent differently
Store credit is product-agnostic. It was funded once and it spends everywhere in the app.
- Gas — Pay the gas bill without standing in a queue. A settled gas account, recorded on the receipt.
- Education — School and exam payments, against the institution's account. A receipt built to be forwarded — the institution, the account, the amount and the state.
- Betting — Fund a betting account by its account ID. A funded betting wallet, with the operator, the ID and the amount on the receipt.
The flow is identical apart from the recipient. That consistency is deliberate.
Where this sits
Water is one of 11 bill and top-up families on Kpali, with Quick OTP counted separately, across 182 countries and 7 regions. There is no purchase on this website — these pages teach the app, and the app is where store credit is spent. Business API keys are coming soon and are not sold here.
If water is not what you came for, the country you care about probably carries several of the other families, and the country page lists exactly which ones and says why for any that it cannot. Coverage is a fact about a country and a product together, never a vague promise about the world.
