The situation
The bills do not stop when somebody emigrates. Light, water, television and internet keep arriving at a house whose earner is now in another time zone, and the usual answer is to send money to a relative and hope it becomes a paid bill.
Paying the bill directly changes the shape of that. The meter or account number is the recipient, the lookup confirms whose it is, and the receipt says what was settled — so nobody has to be trusted with an errand.
What Kpali does about it
Prepaid tokens and postpaid bills, against your meter number.
In the app it runs: Home → country → Electricity → provider → meter/account → lookup → Pay. You are sending it to meter or account number (name looked up first).
The name registered against it comes back before you can pay, so the money lands where you meant it to.
Getting there from nothing
- Get Kpali onto a phone and set a PIN — nothing else is needed to open an account.
- Open Add money, pick the stablecoin and the network, and read the warning that sits above the address.
- One email field decides everything about ownership here — read it before you move on.
- Watch Home. The credit appears when the deposit confirms, not when you send it.
- Home → country → Electricity → provider → meter/account → lookup → Pay.
- Confirm the recipient on the review sheet, then Pay. It does not proceed if store credit cannot cover the total.
- Keep the receipt. A prepaid token on the receipt, or a settled postpaid account with the receipt as proof.
