Prepaid or postpaid — does it matter?

Both categories exist. Tokens for prepaid. Account settlement for postpaid.

The situation

The same provider sells two different things, and the numbers that identify them are not interchangeable. Prepaid buys a token; postpaid settles an account.

Kpali lists them as separate products for that reason, and the lookup confirms which account the number actually belongs to before anything is charged.

What Kpali does about it

Prepaid tokens and postpaid bills, against your meter number.

In the app it runs: Home → country → Electricity → provider → meter/account → lookup → Pay. It lands on meter or account number (name looked up first).

The name registered against it comes back before you can pay, so the money lands where you meant it to.

Getting there from nothing

1. Install the app and create an account. No bank account and no BVN.
2. Add money: stablecoin first, then network, then the warning, then the amount, then the address.
3. One email field decides everything about ownership here — read it before you move on.
4. Wait for Home to show the credit. An address is not money.
5. Home → country → Electricity → provider → meter/account → lookup → Pay.
6. Confirm the recipient on the review sheet, then Pay. It does not proceed if store credit cannot cover the total.
7. Keep the receipt. A prepaid token on the receipt, or a settled postpaid account with the receipt as proof.
